All Year Long
In February (I think!) I started this picture. Almost a year of pencil sketching and pen inking, and that’s just the blocking. In theory the finishing will be a bit quicker.

It’s Christmas
Unwittingly atmospherically dark, a different style of card that was too sharply cropped on printing. Drawn from a snowy picture taken early in 2017. It suits the times.

It’s Christmas

Mining The Old Stuff
Went a bit mad with the bricks. The long gone Northampton St John’s station for trains to Bedford. The home of a university block and the local radio station.

Mining The Old Stuff
Northampton Castle Station: While the 60s built station was being demolished and redeveloped, I drew this from a photo taken when the Victorian station was being demolished for the redevelopment that led to the 60s station.

Mining The Old Stuff

Mining The Old Stuff
For a friend: don’t generally keep copies of gifts so a bit mystified to see I have this.
The old Abington Square, Charles Bradlaugh is still there but everything has gone the way of much of grand Northampton

Starting Again
Where I work.
Northampton is generally the inspiration for what I draw and paint.
In the background is my Mounts painting: done just for me and hangs above my sofa.
